What is an Environmental Standard Statement?
The Environmental Standard Statement is a written document that is part of the planning application. It provides detailed data on a range of environmental conditions and helps to show how a proposed development will affect the environment. Applications over a certain size will also be required to fill in the sustainable buildings sections of the Environmental Standard Statement to ensure that their proposals incorporate sustainable design measures as far as possible. This can also include BREEAM or CSH level 3,4,5.
